About Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery

Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, part of Appledore Medical Group, has been providing comprehensive, advanced cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical care for the Seacoast region since 1998. Our specialists perform surgery at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, which is home to the leading cardiovascular surgery program in the region, recognized as a Center of Excellence in the field and named one of America’s 50 best hospitals for cardiac surgery by Healthgrades, putting it in the top 2 percent of cardiac surgery programs in the country. The cardiovascular surgery program celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024 and earned a distinguished three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in isolated aortic valve replacement (AVR) and isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
